Dear R.V. Owner,
Do you own a motor home or heavy duty vehicle with a 454 Chevy engine? Are you aware of the replacement cost if you were to suddenly lose oil pressure and have it seize up?
(approx. $10,385) Would you spend $29.95 to avoid a similar situation such as this? Read on!
This took place after leaving a camp-out in San Diego in 2005 traveling approx. 60 M.P.H. on the freeway, keeping up with the traffic. Suddenly, without warning, we heard a loud noise from the engine compartment and then the engine seized up. It was just like slamming on the brakes. We lost the power steering, power brakes and the “U”-joint sheared as well. We somehow managed to get to the side of the freeway and avoid other potential problems only because there was a California Highway Patrolman next to me who turned on his red lights to stop traffic so I could pull to the side of the road.
The motor home was towed to the nearest Chevrolet Dealer and the next day we were informed that the engine was “junk” and would have to be replaced. They found that one of the oil fittings on the engine that carries the oil from the engine to the oil cooler had parted, resulting in an immediate loss of oil to the engine, causing the engine to seize. The service technician indicated the small retainer loop spring that holds the fittings together failed, causing the fittings to separate. This is documented on the Dealers service invoice. The only alternative was to replace the engine. It wound up costing $10,385.
Nobody should have to go through what we went through. The whole ordeal was very scary and could have been much worse, perhaps even fatal, had it not been for the CHP officer present at the time. The more I thought about the incident, I knew there had to be some way to prevent this from happening again, or happening to others as well. I designed what I call “The Backup”. It is a device that fits over the oil cooler fittings, but DOES NOT touch either one. I have installed “the Backup” on the engine of my motor home and feel much safer and secure in knowing this particular problem will not happen to our motor home again.

“The Backup” has been made available through www.sitebloc.com. When you order “The Backup”, you will also receive installation instructions and photos of installation as well. You may choose to have the person who changes your oil install it for you. It’s that simple!
The total cost of “The Backup” is only $29.95 which includes shpg / handling, and applicable sales tax. Compare $10,000 + for a new engine to the cost of “The Backup”. $29.95 for a safe and secure way to enjoy your travels with the peace of mind your engine is safe from this particular problem is a good choice.

I had this Backup installed on my Motor Home by my mechanic who told me what a great idea it was and that it would do the job that it was designed to do.

Mr. Green sold one of these backup's to me, at a campout in Chula Vista, Ca., and after telling me why he came up with it, his own (engine seizing up), and his cost for a new engine. I was more than willing to have it on my Motor Home.

I installed the "backup" on my 454 Chevrolet motor home, and I have the Banks Power Equipment on it also, and it was no problem. I travel back to Indiana every year so I made sure that this "backup" was installed before I left this year.
