Directions
First and foremost is to determine the layout/configuration for which you wish to use the SiteBloc unit (Straight line; “L”; “W” or ????). Once that decision has been made then:
Place the carrying case containing the SiteBloc unit at the middle of the location for its use. Undo the Velcro straps and open the case. You will now see that you have in front of you the entire SiteBloc unit stacked in order of use.
Four Tripod Main Pole units on top of the first privacy screen. Take the tripod units out, one at a time, and invert each one with the legs upward. Pull each of the locking pins out and swing each leg upward, releasing the locking pin into the 3rd hold on the index plate. Once each of the 3 legs have been locked into place, re-invert the tripod and place the first one at the end of the configuration you have decided to make (The legs have twist locks so that they can be adjusted for uneven terrain, you can also use any of the holes on the index plate). Using the 12’ long measuring line included in your kit, you can now place the remaining tripod main pole units at their required locations with minimal adjustments. You should now have 4 tripod units in their respective places for the configuration of SiteBloc you have elected to utilize.
Move the first privacy screen off of the stack, to the side, while you accomplish the following: Take the two single swivel top units and place each of them on top of the tripods at each end of your configuration. Make sure you tighten the eyebolts on the bottom end of the swivel pieces so that they are firmly attached to the main pole assemblies. Next, take the two double swivel top units and place them on top of the tripods in the center of your configuration, making sure the eyebolts are tightened on these as well. You should now have the configuration in place with the tripod units and swivel top pieces in place.
The three Crossbar units are next. You will have three double tube pieces (one tube inside the other) with a ‘twist lock’ at each end and three single tube pieces. Take each of the double tube pieces, loosen the twist lock that is holding the inside tube and extend the inside tube to the point where the indicator hole is visible and tighten the twist lock. Then, loosen the twist lock at the opposite end of that piece and take one of the single tube pieces and insert it into that end of the tube/twist lock so that the indicator hole on that piece is just visible and tighten the twist lock. You now have the first 12’ long crossbar piece to put in place between the first two tripod units. Take the crossbar piece and insert one end into the single swivel piece at your first tripod, making sure you tighten the eye-blot on the swivel unit against the crossbar piece. Then, walk over to the second tripod unit and insert the other end into the double swivel top piece, tightening that eye-bold against the crossbar piece as well. If more than one person is setting up the SiteBloc, this entire set-up can go faster and easier. Do the same for the remaining two crossbar sections. Once you have the crossbar pieces in place, you are ready to hang the privacy screens.
The privacy screens already have the elastic ball ties in the grommets. Take the first privacy screen and walk it over to the first section of SiteBloc you wish to use. As you open the privacy screen, ensure that the plastic balls of the ball ties are on the ‘inside’ of the area you are screening off. Take the corner of the first screen to the corner of the first crossbar section. Stretch the elastic over the top of the crossbar section and back towards you and then around the plastic ball of the ball tie. Do this for each of the ball ties in the grommets on each screen, including the ones on the sides of the privacy panels. Do this for each of the ball ties in each of the three privacy panels. Once all of the ball ties on all 3 privacy panels have been put in place, you will have 36 feet of privacy panel that you can adjust as you may require/desire. If you have elected to set up SiteBloc in a configuration that has ‘corners’, you should now place the corner brace unites into place for further stability of the unit. Each of the corner brace units is attached to the crossbar piece by placing each of the two channel pieces onto the crossbar section and tightening the eyebolts into place. Once you have the SiteBloc unit into the configuration and location you wish, you should tighten all of the eyebolts to ensure maximum stability of the unit.
Wind Conditions If your SiteBloc unit is going to be subjected to windy conditions, you may wish to make use of the weight bags contained in each kit. The weight bags can be filled with whatever may be handy to create additional weight/stability for the tripod units. The bags can be filled with sand, gravel, rocks or whatever may be handy. When ready to re-pack the SiteBloc unit, the bags merely have to be emptied, flattened and stored with the unit where it was originally found within the kit itself.
Tear Down and Storage
Once the SiteBloc unit is no longer required, the ‘tear down and storage’ of the unit is merely a reverse of the set-up process. Open the carrying case and spread it out close to the unit. Begin by detaching the privacy panels one at a time, folding them in half, sideways twice and then in half, twice more, lengthwise. Place one of the panels in the middle of the carrying case and the other two panels off to one side. Next, detach the corner braces (if used) and place them on top of the panel, then, remove the crossbar pieces, loosen the twist locks, take out one of the inner tube pieces, retighten the twist lock, then slide the other smaller tube into the larger tube and re-tighten the twist lock. Place these two pieces onto the panel and repeat the process for the other two crossbar pieces. Place the second panel over the crossbar pieces. You can now loosen and remove the four swivel top pieces from the main pole tripod assemblies and place them on top of the second panel. Now, place the third privacy panel on top of those pieces. Take each tripod unit, invert it, pull the locking pins and lower the legs back to their original stored positions (there is a locking hold on the index plate for the position). Place each of the tripod units on the top of the last privacy panel and you are now ready to fold each of the two ends of the carrying case over each other, making sure the Velcro attaches. This will prevent SiteBloc from slipping out of the case. Then, fold the remaining two flaps of the carrying case over each other so that the Velcro strips will catch on each other.
Now, your SiteBloc unit is fully stored in the carrying and, ready to be put back into its proper transport place. If, during use, SiteBloc becomes wet, it is strongly suggested that, at the earliest possible time, SiteBloc be set up and allowed to fully dry. Further, if SiteBloc becomes soiled or dusty, it can be set-up, squirted off, scrubbed down, squirted off, allowed to dry and then be re-packed for further use. Proper care of SiteBloc privacy panels and parts will provide years of continued use.
